Denisa Bauer. Model, artist, author of the poetic manifesto for the campaign: "Change is not a sin."

Denisa is a woman who isn't afraid of silence. In the campaign for Katarzist perfume, she appears with a gesture that is more than just a change of hairstyle. It's an inner decision. A metamorphosis. A flow. An entry into her own authenticity. As part of the Rubriculum series, we share her story and answers to questions that are never superficial to us. In her words and movement, she carries the ability to name what often remains unspoken. She is the embodiment of the Katarzist fragrance: strong, gentle, unmistakable. She doesn't play a role; she lives the process.

1.   Who are you when no one is looking?

I drop all roles and just... am. I'm a girl who sings in the shower, a woman who whispers words into her diary. I'm the one who gets lost among the trees, talks to flowers, and still believes in her dreams. Often lost in my head – sometimes it's beautiful, other times terrifying. In silence, I hear myself most loudly. I shed all expectations and am truthful; I am free.

I am learning to be.

2.   What does change mean to you?

"An invitation to lose control, into a space where something new can grow.

Change is beautiful – but sometimes it hurts. It's like growth: it stretches, tears away old layers. It's necessary, inevitable, sometimes it comes silently, other times like a storm. But it always leads us closer to ourselves, to where we are meant to go in life. Even if we don't know where yet, it knows."

3.    What scent reminds you of strength?

"KATARZIST. It smells of wild flowers, roses, and stays with you all day. The base is oud – one of my favorite ingredients, it also has spiritual and meditative uses. A feeling of self-confidence, sensuality, courage in one sniff. No kidding."

4.   What is your ritual?

"Sometimes it's just me, my journal, and a quiet morning; other times, candles, crystals, sage, and water. Evenings before a full moon are filled with meditations, affirmations, talking to the universe about dreams I quietly hold in my heart, hoping they will one day touch reality."

Most importantly, these are always moments when I stop and breathe, perceive, and return home – to myself.

5.   What does your body mean to you?

"The body is the boundary between who I am... and what I am not. It is a temple that carries me not as a definition, but as a space. A vessel that does not limit me – on the contrary, it serves me. Thanks to it, I breathe, feel, touch the world. I move, dance, fall, get up. It is my home, my map, and even if I sometimes don't understand it, it is wiser than I often realize. I am still learning to listen to it more and to love it, even with its scars."

6.   When was the last time you felt whole?

"The moment I stopped running. When I sat in the forest, all alone, and everything quieted down – even my head. Suddenly, I didn't feel the need to be more or different. Just me, and that was enough."

7.   What does scent mean to you?

"An imprint of the soul. Everything within me can be expressed in ways other than words. A memory that takes me back in time, reminds me of something or someone, gets under my skin, leaves a trace."

Also purity. Both, on the inside and outside.

8.   Can change be beautiful?

"Not only can it be – change is beautiful. In motion. It doesn't pretend to be perfect. It cracks and hurts, but it leaves a bloom behind. Just like love.

It's a part of it."

9.   Your own words for this campaign are very powerful. Can we share them?

"If a word has the power to embrace someone, help them understand, or tell them they are not alone, then it makes sense to let it go."

"Inside me is a world no one sees.
Silent, wild, full of images,
it doesn't need to be understood. Just to be true.
I am heavy and light, in motion,
and though I don't belong everywhere, I belong to myself.
I am a journey. And with each step, closer to myself.
I am all my stories, yet new every day. Fleeting – but whole.
Created by dreams, pain, love. And the choice to start anew."

10.   What would you say to people who are afraid of change?

Fear and tears do not mean weakness, even if society likes to remind us of that. It just means that something truly matters to you. Change hurts, but it helps us let go of what diminishes us and gives us a chance to grow.
