Circle of Scent is a new format from niche perfumery house Oraculum – an intimate gathering where time slows down and space belongs to scents. At a table full of perfumes, guests allow intuition and senses to guide them until one scent speaks most strongly. Each selection becomes a personal manifesto.
This time, we were joined by Emma Dominica – a woman who describes herself as intense, assertive, mysterious, and selectively extroverted.
The professional "tooth fairy"
Emma hails from Slovakia and professionally works as a dentist. With a touch of exaggeration, she calls herself a "professional tooth fairy." She is a Scorpio and admits to fully embodying its traits – both its brighter and darker aspects.
Her daily life is meticulously structured: an alarm at 5:30 AM, time for herself and her loyal dog Anička, with whom she regularly starts the day in the park. "Mornings smell different," she says. And it is these small details – clean air, peace, and rituals – that are her source of strength.
Scents and memories
Emma believes that scents can carry our most vivid memories. She loves not only perfumes but also the smell of freshly cut grass or freshly baked cinnamon rolls, which instantly calm her.
In her handbag, she always carries several lip glosses, sunglasses, a pouch with crystals, and a mini perfume ORACULUM SENSUALIST or ARABESQUE, which for her represent the absolute embodiment of purity. Her first great perfume love was Chanel Noir – a scent that still excites her today.
Signature look and guilty pleasure
Minimalism and purity are essential for Emma – not only in scents but also in style. Her signature look consists of neutral colors, a low sleek bun, no-makeup makeup, rose gold jewelry, and always perfectly manicured nails. "Except I've never abandoned my signature look," she laughs. Her guilty pleasure? Well-groomed eyebrows, a beautiful manicure, and a subtle scent of cleanliness.
Circle of Scent moment
When she sat down at the Circle of Scent table, she let her intuition speak. She went through the scents one by one until she found the one that resonated most deeply – ARABESQUE. Emma perceived it as a manifestation of her own intensity and gentleness, a balance between strength and purity.
Scent as a personal manifesto
Emma Dominika is proof that perfume is not just an accessory. It is an intimate choice that reflects who we are. For her, the scent of purity and strength becomes a part of everyday life – whether it's Arabesque, Sensualist, or the one she chose at the Circle of Scent table.
